1950s – The Chinese nationalist KMT efforts in the Golden triangle also involved the CIA. Colonel Paul Helliwell operated the Transport company that flew supplies from Thailand to the KMT in Monghsat. (Merchants of madness. B Lintner M Black ©2009 Thailand).

1951 – Paul Helliwell and BCCI. Castle bank was set up and controlled by Paul Helliwell. In 1951 Paul Helliwell set up and ran Sea Supply corp, a CIA font for ten years. 1952 – Opium, the cash crop of the Hmong hill tribes in Laos and Tonkin in 1952. The (Communist), Viet Minh confiscated almost the entire crop, then sold it on the open market in Bangkok Thailand, to fund arms from China.

1975 – Vasily Ivanovich Timofeyev Thailands KGB agent intel service. Journalist cover in Bangkok 1975. Returned in 1993. Nikolai Petrovich a KGB resident in Thailand. In 1975 in Bangkok the Vietnam war had ended. The US had some military bases in Thailand after the war. The KGB were interested in these bases. 15 May 1975 – US aerial evacuation of 2,500 Hmong to Thailand from Laos.

1976 – Australian Murray Riley and Michael Hand. Nugan Hand bank. Heroin trafficking and the US mafia. Had a branch in Chiang Mai Thailand. March 1976 – 450,000 Thai buddha sticks were smuggled into New Zealand on the yacht “Brigadoon” in March 1976. This gave Mr Asia's Terry Clark the money to buy hundreds of kilos of high grade heroin in Asia. Martin Johnstone was Mr Asia. He got drugs on credit.(Mr Asia ©2010 Aust NZ. J Shepherd).

1994 – It was a Hezbollah cell in Thailand that in 1994, almost, drove a truck laden with explosives into the Israeli embassy in Bangkok.

17 March 1994 – Hezbollah terrorists tried to bomb the Israeli embassy in Bangkok. The attack failed because the terrorists got in a car accident and fled the scene. 1996 – Bangkok’s Chulalongkorn university estimated that $28.5 billion went through Thailand’s money laundering system, the equivalent to 15% of Thai GDP.

2002 – Sean Parlaman, an American who suspiuciously fell from a high rise window in Pattaya Thailand in 2002 and died. He was an anti paedophile activist, who was investigating child trafficking across the Burmese border and sex slavery of children.

21 Nov 2006 – The Moroccan govt reported that a key aide to Ayman al Zawahiri recently travelled to Morocco, using a Thai passport, pretending to be an Asian antiques dealer. His object was to coordinate the activities of a number of terrorist groups in North Africa.
